Hi, I'm Mrs. Ngai! My name is pronounced "Nye" (rhymes with eye) and no, I am of no relation to Bill...but I do love science and helping students to discover the scientist within themselves! I have recently moved to the Connecticut from Washington where I have been teaching science for the past five years. My educational background includes a bachelors of arts in both biology and philosophy, as well as a masters in education (specializing in 7-12 science) from the University of Washington. I also have professional experience as a chemist and animal specialist. Outside of teaching science I love to spend time outdoors kayaking, sailing, hiking and mountain biking. I believe that all students can excel in science since it's about crafting a personal understanding of what we observe in the world around us. I hope that this website will assist you in reaching your personal learning goals in science this year!
